  • Abstract:
  • Evaluating the Efficacy of Homeopathic Combinations for Prophylaxis and treatment of Viral Fevers including COVID19 The clinical research question for the overview was structured and scoped according to the PICO criteria (Population, Intervention, Comparator, Outcomes). Use of the PICO framework facilitates the systematic review process as it improves conceptual clarity of the clinical problem, allows more complex search strategies, results in more precise search results, and allows evidence to be selected appropriately. Primary clinical research questions developed for the overview: In absence of the vaccines against Covid19, can Homeopathic Combinations provide effective prophylaxis to the people at the risk of high exposure such as Sanitary Workers during Pandemic Lockdown? For patients with clinical conditions of COVID19, can homeopathy provide effective redressal in absence any other treatment? The agreed PICO criteria for the primary clinical research question “Is homeopathy effective in prophylaxis and or treatment, in absence of vaccines and other prophylaxis methods and treatments? Population: High risk people such as sanitary workers / people infected with COVID19 Intervention: (1) Evaluating the Efficacy of Homeopathic Combinations for Prophylaxis and treatment of Viral Fevers including COVID19 (2) Homeopathy used in conjunction with other interventions if being used, where the specific effects of homeopathy can be determined by speedy recovery, symptom management etc. Combination of Homeopathic Medicines stratified by Homeopathic Doctor (Co Investigator) and Research Team Comparator: (1) Non Homeopathic (2) Any other as and when required Outcomes: Clinical outcomes +Incidence while taking Medicine +Improvements +Adverse events +No effects Other systematic review considerations Limits: As per need, Time duration: 3 Months EFFECTIVENESS OF HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES TOWARDS PROPHYLAXIS FOR COVID19 Evidence summary: The effectiveness of Homeopathic Medicines for the Prophylaxis of Covid19 Quality Sample size: 10000 Nagar Nigam Sanitary Workers and other high risk people as per availability Population Covered: Population prone to exposure for infections of COVID19 during lockdown causing High Viral Load e.g. Sanitary Workers of Nagar Nigam, Police Personnel of GRP, RPF etc. Intervention: Prophylaxis with a combination of homeopathic medicines of various potencies. Comparator: People not using homeopathic combinations. Outcome: Symptoms and general assessment feedbacks Results as reported in the systematic review: Effective as compared to patients who did not get Homeopathic Combinations Systematic review interpretation: Evidence of efficacy regarding the efficacy of Homeopathic Medicines as prophylaxis.

The clinical research question for the overview was structured and scoped according to the PICO criteria (Population, Intervention, Comparator, Outcomes). Primary clinical research questions developed for the overview:
In absence of the vaccines against Covid19, can Homeopathic Combinations provide effective prophylaxis to the people at the risk of high exposure such as Sanitary Workers during Pandemic Lockdown?
For patients with clinical conditions of COVID19, can homeopathy provide effective redressal in absence any other treatment?

The agreed PICO criteria for the primary clinical research question “Is homeopathy effective in prophylaxis and or treatment, in absence of vaccines and other prophylaxis methods and treatments?
Population: High risk people such as sanitary workers / people infected with COVID19
Intervention: (1) Evaluating the Efficacy of Homeopathic Combinations for Prophylaxis and treatment of Viral Fevers including COVID19 (2) Homeopathy used in conjunction with other interventions if being used, where the specific effects of homeopathy can be determined by speedy recovery, symptom management etc. Combination of Homeopathic Medicines stratified by Homeopathic Doctor (Co Investigator) and Research Team
Comparator: (1) Non Homeopathic (2) Any other as and when required
Outcomes: Clinical outcomes +Incidence while taking Medicine +Improvements +Adverse events +No effects
Other systematic review considerations Limits: As per need, Time duration: 3 Months
