  • Abstract:
  • Moringa oleifera, commonly referred to as the drumstick tree or miracle tree, is a highly versatile plant valued for its nutritional, medicinal, and industrial applications. It is cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide, particularly in India, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Rich in essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds, nearly every part of the tree—including its leaves, seeds, roots, bark, and flowers—offers therapeutic benefits. Scientific studies have demonstrated its pharmacological properties, including anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and anticancer effects. Additionally, it has been shown to aid in treating diabetes, asthma, ulcers, and hyperlipidemia, along with enhancing wound healing and milk production. Its high nutritional value and therapeutic potential make it a significant plant for addressing malnutrition and various health issues, particularly in developing regions.
