  • A subset of machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL) has become a game-changing technique that is propelling progress in a number of fields. Its ability to process large datasets, extract patterns, and deliver intelligent insights has made it a cornerstone of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. This paper surveys the fundamentals of deep learning, explores its methodologies, and highlights its real-world applications. From healthcare to autonomous systems, DL has proven to be a game-changer. However, challenges such as interpretability and resource dependence remain significant. This survey aims to provide a comprehensive overview of DL techniques and their practical implementations, drawing insights from recent research.
