        abstract = {The concept of Self Help Group is based on the idea of community participation, as sustainable community development requires the active participation of the entire community. ‘ Popular participation ensures that the benefits of the development are equitably distributed among the needy. Apart from this, proposals are made for the decentralization of the authority so as to ensure redistribution of wealth, improved access to education and other social capital.
