abstract = {This study investigates the perceptions of farmers in the Erode district towards government subsidy schemes in Gobichettipalayam and Sathyamangalam taluks, two prominent agricultural regions. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 297 farmers who were directly involved in agricultural activities and had some level of awareness regarding government subsidies. Through a structured questionnaire, data was collected on farmers’ awareness, perceptions, and the effectiveness of subsidy schemes. Statistical tools like ANOVA, t-tests, and regression analysis were applied to analyze the data. The study reveals that while government subsidies significantly help reduce the financial burden of farmers, barriers like awareness gaps and delayed distribution hinder their full utilization. The study concludes with recommendations to improve accessibility, awareness, and implementation of subsidy schemes.},
