Tunable coplanar patch antenna design optimization

  • This study presents the design optimization of a tunable coplanar patch antenna and discusses the resulting performance. The optimized design enables tuning over a frequency range of 240 MHz (1.79–2.03 GHz) while maintaining a minimum return loss of 10 dB. The antenna exhibits an omnidirectional radiation pattern, with a nearly constant gain averaging 2.2 dB across the tuning range.
