  • The crucial role that sunscreen lotions play in protecting your skin from ultraviolet (UV) radiation's harmful effects—which can be classified as either UVA or UVB—is examined in this study. These rays, which are known to cause sunburn, skin aging, and even carcinogenesis, are blocked by sunscreens. Sunscreen has emerged as a crucial product in reducing the hazards associated with sun-induced phototoxic damage, which includes the negative consequences of prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light. According to the review, adding herbal ingredients to sunscreen formulas is a safe and efficient way to increase protection as showed by the (SPF). The article goes into additional detail about how UVA and UVB radiation work, highlighting how they affect skin differently. There includes a thorough discussion of important evaluation criteria like SPF, broad-spectrum protection, and ingredient safety. The assessment also looks at developments in sunscreen technology, include the creation of skin-friendly, lightweight formulas. The article concludes by giving readers a thorough explanation of how sunscreens shield the skin from phototoxic damage and by offering advice on how to choose the right sunscreen products for different skin types. It also emphasizes how crucial regular application is for the best protection.
