  • Abstract:
  • The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has had far-reaching effects, including on the educational system. As more and more universities invest in tech-enhanced classrooms, the issue of optimizing these settings for learning arises. The synchronous hybrid or hybrid learning environment is a new kind of classroom that allows students in different locations to participate simultaneously in the same classes. Due to its novelty, research on the efficacy of synchronous hybrid learning is limited. The purpose of this research was to compile the best available data from across the globe to provide a snapshot of where the field is in terms of knowledge about the advantages, disadvantages, and best practices for implementing synchronous hybrid learning environments.
