The method is not a new development; earlier societies used smart methods, like writing hidden messages on wooden tablets or tattooing data on the scalp of messengers, to convey crucial secrets secretly and escape discovery by enemies. The modern digital era has advanced the science of steganography tremendously. Instead of using visible marks or physical modifications, modern methods hide information in the smallest details of digital data.
