  • Abstract:
  • This paper seeks to understand the impact of social networking sites, web – based innovation and emerging technologies on tourism development in Himachal Pradesh. Highlighting on the Alteration in visitor behaviour and the role of technological innovations in information seeking, the findings indicate that people are now turning to social media to plan their travel, review services and share experiences. Although traditional approaches still prevail, technological interventions—particularly artificial intelligence, Business Intelligence and 3D Simulated Tours —have redefined the structure of the tourism industry. In a tourism-dependent provinces like Himachal Pradesh, there is a clear need for field and real-world studies on this subject to optimize policy planning and local development.
