  • Apatanis are one of the major ethnic tribes dwelling in the Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. The tribe is known for their tattooed face and paddy cum fish culture. The paper will deal with creation of niche for women in education sector, creation of space for women in political participation, expanding domains in religious affairs, expanding participation in economic ventures and breaking away the social stigmas and barriers)
