  • Abstract:
  • This research evaluates the awareness and usage of e-PG Pathshala by postgraduate students of the School of Economics, Management and Information Sciences (SEMIS) of North Eastern Hill University (sNEHU), Shillong campus. The study also emphasizes the online education resources and students’ engagement with them, especially how students access and use e-PG Pathshala. Out of 130 respondents, 56.9 % were aware of the e-PG Pathshala, mostly informed by teachers and friends. Smartphones were the most common access device but most students preferred to use the official website. Content access by subject and by title were the most common. Students expressed preference toward e-text materials compared to video tutorials and web links. Students predominantly accessed the platform for infrequent and rare information needs. Satisfaction and perceived content helpfulness received positive ratings, although perceived helpfulness faced strong hindering factors including slow internet speed and lack of resources. Notably, students emphasized greater subject coverage as reasoning for having the most improvement needed. The results reveal that while e-PG Pathshala is useful and fairly well accepted by students, the lack of adequate infrastructural support and subject coverage is a challenge that needs to be addressed to support the diverse postgraduate academic requirements of the students and fully utilize the platform.
