  • Abstract:
  • Jaipur, a UNESCO World Heritage City, is renowned for its architectural splendour, vibrant bazaars, and deep cultural roots. Despite its rich history and cultural significance, tourists often engage with the city's heritage sites in a superficial manner, limiting their experience and the economic benefits to local artisans. These artisans, who rely heavily on tourism-driven income, face challenges as tourists remain disconnected from Jaipur's cultural narrative. This research explores how the integration of technology, innovative storytelling, and sustainable packaging solutions can enhance visitor engagement, foster cultural immersion, and create sustainable economic opportunities for local artisan communities. The study investigates various immersive technologies such as augmented reality, guided storytelling, and interactive workshops to transform the tourist experience. Additionally, the research proposes the integration of sustainable packaging solutions, which not only preserve the city’s cultural heritage but also promote eco-friendly practices in the tourism industry. By creating packaging that highlights artisan stories, craftsmanship, and Jaipur's cultural essence, tourists can develop a deeper connection to the city’s history and its local crafts. Through these innovations, the research aims to propose a sustainable tourism model that balances cultural preservation with economic development, offering both visitors and artisans a more enriching and mutually beneficial experience. This study envisions Jaipur as a leading example of how technology, sustainability, and tradition can converge to revitalize heritage tourism while supporting local artisans and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the city's cultural legacy.
