abstract = {Adenomyosis, a gynecological disorder characterized by the ingrowth of endometrial tissue within the myometrium, commonly presents with menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, and infertility. Modern management such as hormonal therapy, endometrial ablation, and hysterectomy often cause side effects and have limited efficacy. This case study presents the Ayurvedic management of a 30-year-old multiparous woman diagnosed with adenomyosis and ovarian cysts, presenting with irregular cycles, heavy menstrual bleeding, and lower abdominal pain unresponsive to conventional hormonal therapy. The condition was correlated with Udavartini Yoni Vyapada described by Acharya Sushruta, attributed to vitiated Vata. The treatment protocol included Amapachana, Raktastambhaka, oral Ayurvedic formulations (Varunadi Kashaya, Arogyavardhini vati, Kanchnar guggulu, Lodhrasava, Patrangasava, Avipattikara churna, Musta, Triphala Churna), and Basti chikitsa (Matra, Anuvasana, and Niruha basti). Over four months, significant improvements were noted in cycle regularity, bleeding volume, and pain intensity. Ultrasound after eight months revealed normalization of uterine size and resolution of ovarian cysts. The therapeutic principles of Vata-Kapha Shamana, Raktashodhana, and Vata Anulomana were found to be effective, with no adverse effects reported. This case demonstrates the efficacy of Ayurvedic management in adenomyosis, offering a safe, holistic alternative to conventional therapy with potential for long- term relief and reduced recurrence.},
