  • It is simply an unpleasant sound that causes distress. Excessive noise impairs a child's capacity to hear lessons well and harms their learning abilities. Children exposed to continuous disruptive noise have been found to have lower reading ability, memory, and academic achievement, according to studies reviewed by the World Health Organization (WHO). With this background, the present study has been carried out to assess the Noise Level in Front of Selected Educational institutions in Dhaka. Every place's noise level measurement has been taken three times a day. It has been affirmed that the Leq is near the top, accounting for around a fourth of the fifth cases. In front of Rajuk Uttara Model College, the highest value of Leq 100.76 is found, while the Uttara University has the lowest value of Leq 68.93. However, we observed that the noise level exceeded the national standard level in all locations in this study.
