abstract = {Adolescents frequently feel separation anxiety as they make the journey from infancy to adulthood. A strong fear of being alone or of losing a close friend or loved one is its defining feature. Simple events like leaving home to go to school or more complicated ones like being away for an extended period of time due to a sickness or travel might cause this dread to surface. Separation anxiety can cause psychological symptoms like worry, rumination, and panic as well as physiological signs like a faster heartbeat and tense muscles. It may also cause avoidance behaviours, including clinging to a parent or other important person or refusing to leave the house.},
