  • Abstract:
  • Adolescence is a period of significant growth and development, not only physically but also cognitively and socially. During this stage, individuals go through moral development, which is the process of acquiring and internalizing a sense of right and wrong, and the ability to make ethical decisions. As adolescence is a critical period for moral development, adolescents become more self-reliant and assertive, and their decision-making abilities increase. This heightened awareness of their environment and others’ feelings can help them respond and adapt to the changing conditions with more appropriate behaviour. As adolescents gain a greater understanding of the world, they may also begin to recognize the moral ramifications of their actions, which can lead to higher levels of responsible behaviour.
