  • This study aims to examine the impact of demographic variables on investors’ perceptions in the Puducherry region. It focuses on understanding the motives behind investment decisions, particularly in relation to risk and return preferences. The research is based on primary data collected from 100 respondents using a convenience sampling technique. Data were gathered through a structured interview schedule. The primary objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between demographic factors and investor perception. Statistical tools such as ANOVA and percentage analysis were employed to interpret the data. The findings reveal that demographic variables such as age, gender, monthly income, marital status, and educational qualification show a significant difference in influencing investor perception at a 5% level of significance.
