  • This study explores the psychological and cultural dimensions of marijuana usage in Indian society through qualitative research. By employing in-depth interviews and thematic analysis, the research examines the role of marijuana in religious rituals, traditional medicine, and social customs. The findings reveal the deep-rooted historical and spiritual significance of cannabis, along with evolving perceptions influenced by legal frameworks and modernisation. This study underscores the importance of contextual qualitative inquiry in understanding the socio-psychological aspects of marijuana use in India.
