The Impact of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management

  • The uses of Artificial Intelligence in Human Resource Management are developing at a rapid pace. If it applies to all aspects of Human Resource Management (HRM), including recruitment, performance appraisal, employee engagement and other areas of Human Resource Management, then there are HR professionals who are utilizing this technology/AI-based tool to assist in their decision-making on an informed, data-directed basis. This paper focuses on the key areas of Human Resource Management Where Artificial Intelligence is having an impact on the HR function, and will identify AI's benefits, challenges and ethical considerations for HR professionals. The paper draws on the use of secondary data and case studies to provide an analysis of how AI is changing the Human Resource Management function and offers some recommendations for how to use AI effectively.
