        abstract = {The Udyam Registration Act in 2020 and the increase in digital platforms have had a significant impact on the formalization of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Indian economy. Through a structured examination of the legislative framework, implementation outcomes, existing challenges, and socio-economic implications, this paper assesses the changes in the formalization of MSMEs in the wake of these digital initiatives. Despite the positive impact on the formalization percentage and the simplified formalization procedure, challenges in digital literacy, awareness, post-registration following, and the implementation of tangible gains remain.
