  • Abstract:
  • In an era marked by rapid technological advancement and constant digital connectivity, experiences of loneliness and psychological stress have paradoxically increased across populations. While individuals are more connected than ever through social media and digital communication, many report feelings of emotional isolation and reduced well-being. The present descriptive study aims to explore the nature of loneliness, perceived stress, and psychological well-being in the modern era, with particular focus on young adults. Drawing upon contemporary psychological theories of social connection and mental health, this paper provides an integrative understanding of how modern lifestyles, social expectations, and digital engagement contribute to emotional experiences. By synthesizing empirical literature and observational insights, the study highlights the complex relationship between connection and isolation. The findings underscore the importance of addressing loneliness and stress as significant psychological concerns and emphasize the need for preventive mental health strategies that foster meaningful social bonds and emotional well-being in contemporary society.
