  • Abstract:
  • In the contemporary urban landscape, personal safety, particularly for vulnerable demographics, has become a critical concern. While mobile technology offers a platform for security, most existing solutions rely on manual screen interaction which is often impossible during an active physical struggle. This paper presents SafeHer, an integrated Android framework designed to facilitate immediate emergency assistance through multi-modal trigger mechanisms including accelerometer-based shaking, hardware button monitoring, and SMS-based remote activation. The system automates the process of visual alerting, real-time location tracking, ambient audio recording for forensic evidence, and sequential emergency calling. By leveraging local SQLite persistence and Google Play Services, SafeHer provides a robust failsafe environment that functions even under constrained network conditions.
