  • Abstract:
  • The concept of a Happy Curriculum has gained prominence in recent years as education systems worldwide increasingly emphasize students’ well-being alongside academic achievement. A Happy Curriculum integrates emotional well-being, life skills, value education, experiential learning, and a supportive classroom environment with traditional academic content. The present study examines the impact of a Happy Curriculum on the learning outcomes of middle-class students at the middle school level. Using a descriptive and inferential research design, data were collected from 300 middle-school students studying in classes VI–VIII from selected urban schools of Jabalpur city. Tools included a Happy Curriculum Exposure Scale and a Learning Outcomes Achievement Test, supplemented by a Student Well-being Questionnaire. Statistical analysis using mean, standard deviation, t-test, and correlation revealed that students exposed to a Happy Curriculum demonstrated significantly higher learning outcomes, better emotional regulation, and improved classroom engagement compared to students following a conventional curriculum. The findings suggest that a Happy Curriculum plays a crucial role in enhancing holistic learning outcomes among middle-school students and supports the integration of happiness-oriented practices into mainstream education.
