  • Jigs and fixtures are essential tools in modern manufacturing systems that ensure accuracy, repeatability, and productivity. This research paper presents a comprehensive study on the design principles, fabrication processes, materials, types, and applications of jigs and fixtures. The study highlights their role in improving machining efficiency, reducing production time, and minimizing operator dependency. A case study on drilling jig fabrication is also included, demonstrating performance improvements. The paper concludes with advancements in automation and flexible fixturing technologies.
