Internet of Things (IoT): System Architecture, Practical Applications, and Research Challenges

  • Unique Paper ID: 197094
  • Volume: 12
  • Issue: 11
  • PageNo: 8313-8314
  • Abstract:
  • The Internet of Things (IoT) represents a paradigm shift in modern computing by enabling physical objects to sense, communicate, and interact through networked environments. IoT systems combine sensing technologies, communication protocols, and data analytics to deliver intelligent services across diverse domains. Despite significant advancements, challenges related to system scalability, security, interoperability, and efficient data handling continue to limit large-scale deployment. This manuscript presents an original overview of IoT fundamentals, system architecture, real-world applications, and major research challenges. The study also highlights emerging trends and future directions to support further academic and industrial research in IoT-based systems.
