  • A compact belt grinding and finishing machine is a versatile mechanical device used for grinding, polishing, and surface finishing of materials such as metal, wood, and plastic. This project focuses on designing and developing a small-scale, cost-effective, and efficient grinding machine suitable for workshop and educational purposes. The machine uses a single-phase induction motor to drive an abrasive belt over rollers, enabling material removal and smooth finishing. The compact design ensures portability, low power consumption, and ease of operation. This paper discusses the design, working principle, components, advantages, and applications of the machine.
