  • The Smart Portable Traffic Signal System is an innovative solution designed to manage traffic efficiently at temporary or small junctions where conventional traffic signals are not feasible[1]. Traditional traffic systems require permanent infrastructure, high installation cost, and continuous power supply, making them unsuitable for remote areas, road construction zones, and emergency situations. This system utilizes a microcontroller-based design integrated with LED signal modules, wireless communication, and rechargeable battery or solar power support. The system can operate in both automatic and manual modes, allowing traffic personnel to control signals based on real-time traffic conditions. It is compact, portable, and easy to deploy at any location. The system improves traffic flow, reduces congestion, enhances road safety, and minimizes human effort. It is especially useful during road maintenance, accidents, temporary diversions, and rural areas. The portable design ensures flexibility and quick installation, making it a cost-effective and efficient traffic management solution.
