abstract = {Urban corridors in India have undergone rapid growth in the last decade; they thus suffer traffic, congestion and safety problems. The Pune - Nagar Highway (NH 753F) is unarguably one of them. Connecting Pune to Wagholi, Shikrapur and Ahmednagar, it is now experiencing a severe traffic problem. Starting from the Ramwadi Metro Station at the western end of this segment and ending at Bakori Phata on its far eastern edge, ten kilometers is described here as a critical part with more than*numbers are estimated by editors only elevated accident incidences, a state of near permanent traffic jam and no provision at all for cyclists or pedestrians to move around securely. In another of the proposed plan steps, we suggest inserting a cycle lane into this wide system.
The main aim is to improve the transportation, reduce traffic and make roads safe for people. Subject students analyse the characteristics of traffic, design the overpass shape, plan bike lanes, draw the working model of a large system, and then operate units to see how they work. The suggestion combines grade-separated overpasses, service roads, bicycle lanes, removal and commuter transfer stations as well as joint operation with Pune Metro. For evaluating the benefits of the improvements made, a variety of different analytical, computational and statistical models were used. The project results indicate that a multilayer overpass provided with bicycle infrastructure can greatly reduce delays, increase safety and encourage sustainable transit.},
