abstract = {The emergence of digital technologies has transformed education systems worldwide, creating novel opportunities for preserving and promoting traditional knowledge systems. Sanskrit, the classical language of India and repository of vast intellectual, spiritual, and cultural heritage, stands at a critical juncture in the digital era. One can understand the importance of digital innovations in education system by observing the historical journey from the Gurukul system to contemporary e-learning platforms, it examines how technology-enabled tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), mobile applications, virtual classrooms, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Natural Language Processing (NLP) can make Sanskrit learning accessible, engaging, and globally relevant. The main purpose of paper explores the capacity of digital innovations can transform Sanskrit education in India. The study highlights successful initiatives, such as digital Sanskrit libraries, speech-to-text Sanskrit converters, and gamified language learning platforms, which bridge the gap between traditional pedagogy and modern learner expectations. Furthermore, the paper analyses challenges including resource digitization, teacher training, and integration of Sanskrit into mainstream digital curricula. By proposing a framework for digitally empowered Sanskrit education, this study visualize a future wherein the classical knowledge systems embedded in Sanskrit are regenerated and integrated into the evolving digital educational landscape, transitioning from Gurukul traditions to ever expanding digital platforms.},
