Impact of Generative AI on Creative Industries and Digital Content Production

  • Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) constitutes a fundamental reorientation of how digital creative content is conceived, synthesized, and disseminated across media industries. This paper systematically investigates the impact of three principal generative AI paradigms — Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Transformer-based Large Language Models (LLMs), and Latent Diffusion Models — on six creative sectors: music production, visual art and design, film and video, writing and journalism, game development, and advertising. Drawing upon published market analyses, industry practitioner surveys, and a review of primary technical literature, the study documents AI adoption rates of 68–90% across these sectors, with task-specific productivity gains of 35–90% depending on role and implementation maturity [14][18]. The global generative AI market, estimated at USD 67.2 billion in 2024, is projected to reach USD 220.5 billion by 2028 at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 37.8% [1]. The paper further examines concurrent challenges — copyright infringement at training-data scale, deepfake proliferation, algorithmic bias, and workforce displacement — and proposes a Human-AI Collaborative Creative Framework (HACF) structured across four governance layers. The principal contribution is a synthesis of technical, economic, and ethical dimensions into a unified analytical framework, providing a grounded basis for policy and practice in creative AI deployment.
