abstract = {Arthroplasty has emerged as one of the most successful surgical interventions for restoring joint function in patients with advanced degenerative joint diseases. With increasing global demand for joint replacement procedures, technological innovations have become essential to improve surgical precision and long-term outcomes. Among these, three-dimensional (3D) imaging and preoperative planning have revolutionized orthopedic practice by enabling accurate anatomical visualization and patient-specific surgical strategies. This paper reviews recent advancements in arthroplasty, with a primary focus on 3D imaging, while also discussing complementary innovations such as robotic-assisted surgery, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced biomaterials. Evidence suggests that 3D-based planning improves implant alignment accuracy by 20–30%, reduces complication rates by up to 25%, and enhances implant survival rates to 90–95% at 10–15 years. Despite challenges such as cost and accessibility, these technologies represent a significant step toward precision medicine and personalized orthopedic care.},
