abstract = {Rapid urbanization and the exponential growth of vehicles have made traffic congestion a critical issue in modern cities. Conventional traffic control systems, which rely on fixed timing mechanisms, are inefficient in handling dynamic traffic conditions, leading to increased delays, fuel consumption, and environmental pollution. This paper presents the rapid development of an intelligent traffic controller system designed to optimize traffic flow in real-time.
The proposed system utilizes sensor-based data acquisition and adaptive signal control algorithms to dynamically adjust traffic light durations based on traffic density. Emerging technologies such as microcontrollers, IoT modules, and machine learning techniques are integrated to enhance system responsiveness and scalability. The development approach emphasizes rapid prototyping using modular hardware and agile software methodologies, enabling faster deployment and iterative improvements.
Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system significantly reduces average waiting time and improves traffic throughput compared to traditional systems. The solution is cost-effective, scalable, and suitable for implementation in smart city infrastructure.
This research contributes to the advancement of intelligent transportation systems by providing a practical framework for the rapid development and deployment of adaptive traffic control solutions.},
