  • This research paper aims to evaluate the relationship between financial literacy and investment decision making among youth of Pune aged 20-25. Through primary data collected from 102 respondents and secondary data gathered from journals, government reports, and news articles, the study evaluates the level of financial literacy among the youth, identifies their preferred investment instruments, and analyses the relationship between literacy and investment choices. Research reveals high financial knowledge among the youth (91-96%) but significant gap in knowledge existing, with safety (52.6%) being primary investment motivation despite digital fluency among the participants. Mutual funds emerge as most preferred instrument (43.9%). The study aims to provide recommendations for policymakers, educators, and fintech firms based on research findings.
