A Study on Impact of Work From Home Technologies on Employee Productivity at Hexaware, Nagpur

  • The Work From Home (WFH) technologies have changed the trend of employee productivity tremendously including the information technology sector because the work practices have changed dramatically. The proposed study examines the effect of WFH technologies on employee productivity of Hexaware Technologies, Nagpur. As the popularity of digital communication tools, cloud computing, and virtual collaborative platforms are on the rise, companies are restructuring the conventional working pattern. The aim of the study is to examine the effects of technological facilitatement in remote working environment on employee productivity, accomplishment of work tasks and performance. The research design to be used in the study is descriptive research design where the primary data is collected using structured questionnaires and secondary data are obtained using scholarly research articles and reports on the industry. These results indicate that WFH technologies are positively correlated with productivity as it increases flexibility, decreases commuting time, and facilitates a more successful integration of work and life. Nevertheless, communication issues, interruptions caused by technology, as well as the rise in the blurring of work-life boundaries are also among the challenges noted in the study. The study concludes that, despite the huge positive influence of the WFH technologies on the productivity, the effectiveness of the technologies relies on organizational support, worker adaptability, and job roles nature.
