abstract = {Workforce planning has come out as a strategic role in contemporary organizations especially in the manufacturing sector where efficiency in operations has been the determinant of competitiveness and sustainability. This paper examines the effects of workforce planning on the operational efficiency of the CEAT Limited, Nagpur, a giant in the tyre manufacturing business in India. The research design used in the study is descriptive research design using secondary data which will be gathered through company reports, industry publications and scholarly books. It looks at the interrelationship between workforce planning and the most important indicators of operational efficiency, which are productivity, cost reduction, optimization of cycles time, and improvement of quality. The results have shown that CEAT Limited has been able to use workforce planning as a strategic weapon to improve operational performance by making data-driven decisions, automation, and constant employee development programs. In addition, the paper indicates that when the workforce is properly aligned to the organizational objectives it enhances better resource use, minimization of operation bottlenecks and general efficiency. The study concludes that workforce planning is not just an administrative HR process but a very vital source of operational excellence and competitive advantage in manufacturing organizations.},
