  • Abstract:
  • Organizations across industries are increasingly adopting diversity and inclusion (D&I) practices to foster innovation, employee engagement, and equitable work environments. However, the actual impact of these practices on organizational culture remains insufficiently examined, particularly in the Indian corporate context. This study aims to analyze how D&I practices—such as diverse hiring, inclusive leadership, employee resource groups, and unbiased policies—shape organizational culture in terms of openness, collaboration, psychological safety, and fairness. Using a mixed-method design, quantitative data will be collected from 150 employees working in IT and manufacturing firms through structured questionnaires, complemented by interviews with 6 HR managers. The study expects to find a positive correlation between well-implemented D&I practices and a stronger, more inclusive organizational culture, with leadership commitment and communication effectiveness acting as key mediating variables. The conclusion will highlight that formal D&I policies alone are insufficient; their genuine integration into daily work culture determines their success. Recommendations include regular D&I audits, inclusive leadership training, and employee-driven feedback mechanisms.
