  • Abstract:
  • The organizations are becoming more and more complex day by day. Therefore experts have started replacing the decision making of human resource managers. The business analytics is a systematic and scientific approach to analysing data. Moreover, it plays a key role in the optimization of human capital by improving workforce efficiency and productivity and creating alignment with the business strategy. This research work presents a conceptual analysis on the contribution of analytics towards human capital optimisation. It builds upon concepts stemming from human resource management, strategic management and information systems. It examines how analytical capabilities help organizations gain insights into their workforces, anticipate behaviors and introduce evidence-based HR programmes. We further conceptualize the link between analytics and human capital outcomes in the setting of a manufacturing organization like CEAT Limited. Through the use of a model developed from cross-theoretical perspectives, the paper claims that business analytics is not just a technology but a further enhancer of organizational performance and sustainable competitive advantage.
