abstract = {In the modern business world, businesses are becoming more aware of the strategic value of leadership continuity as a core of long-term success. Leadership development programs have become an important tool by which organizations are able to develop managerial skills, inspire innovation as well as maintain a consistent pool of future leaders. This paper is an examination of how leadership development programs have enabled the succession planning at Wipro Limited, Nagpur. The study will take a theoretical and conceptual standpoint to analyze the role of systematic interventions like training, mentoring, coaching, and experience learning towards the identification and development of high potential employees. It also examines the way in which these programs can match the individual competencies and the organizational objectives thus reducing the leadership gaps and increasing the stability of operation. The research finds that development of leadership is not just a human resource role but a strategic requirement, which directly affects organizational resilience, adaptability, and competitive advantage. The results indicate that there is a close connection between the systematic leadership development practices and the effective succession planning with an emphasis made on the constant investment in the human capital development in organizations such as Wipro Limited.},
