abstract = {Most tourism platforms tend to guide travelers toward costly commercial services, while many local options often go unnoticed. Travel Mate is developed as a Progressive Web Application that connects travelers directly with local guides, homestays, and transport providers. It is built using the MERN stack and also includes a financial tracking feature called FairFare. The platform aims to reduce unnecessary travel expenses and help users explore places that are often overlooked by mainstream tourism services. To build trust between travelers and local providers, identity verification is handled through DigiLocker. Overall, the goal of this platform is to support local businesses while also giving travelers an easier way to plan trips and manage group expenses.},
