Enhancing Open and informal spaces such as courtyards, gardens, corridors, sit-out areas, and playgrounds play a significant role in the learning experience of students. These spaces encourage interaction, creativity, relaxation, and collaborative learning among students.
This research aims to study how open and informal spaces contribute to enhancing the learning experience in residential school campuses. The study explores various spatial elements, design strategies, and planning approaches that help create effective informal learning environments. The key findings suggest that how spaces extend learning beyond classrooms, how open spaces improve students’ mental and physical well-being, how spaces support creativity and independent learning, how spaces encourage social interaction and collaboration.},
