abstract = {As we reach the midpoint of 2026, the international legal framework presents a deceptive image of safety and equality. While the global community celebrates a record number of gender-protective statutes, the lived reality for women remains defined by a "Justice Gap." This paper provides a necessary reality check on the current state of gender-based cruelty, analyzing why contemporary law continues to fail as a deterrent. By examining the rise of digital violence, the weaponization of AI, and the failure of enforcement in conflict zones, this research argues that until the law moves from reactive to transformative, "legal equality" remains a theoretical myth.},
