  • Hospice and palliative care environments require a shift in architectural priorities from clinical efficiency to comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being. Among environmental factors, sound remains one of the most under-addressed parameters despite its measurable impact on stress, sleep, and patient experience. This study investigates the concept of Silent Architecture, defined as a design approach that minimizes unwanted noise while enhancing calm and perceptually balanced environments.
