Role of Artificial Intelligence in Software Testing

  • Unique Paper ID: 201589
  • Volume: 12
  • Issue: 12
  • PageNo: 5435-5439
  • Abstract:
  • Transformative technology describes what Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become within the realm of software testing, especially in terms of automating certain tasks, creating efficiencies and assisting with the decision-making process. Typical methods of testing software necessitate significant labour and have high potential for mistakes due to users’ inability to comprehend the level at which tests are supposed to be created and/or performed. This document will provide an overview of how AI will impact software testing by reviewing how Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing (reading), and Intelligent Automation (au-tomating and testing) have improved the testing process overall. Specifically discussed in this paper are examples of how this new framework will allow for the development of better test cases, identifying possible defects before they become critical problems, and eliminating the need for manual debugging through auto-mated test case generation.
