  • Abstract:
  • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine disorder characterized by hormonal imbalance, Insulin Resistance, and irregular menstrual cycles. The present study aimed to formulate and evaluate a polyherbal tablet using Guduchi, Shatavari, Gokshura, Haridra, and Ashwagandha for the management of PCOS. The formulation was prepared by the wet granulation method using herbal powders and suitable excipients such as microcrystalline cellulose, HPMC, maize starch, magnesium stearate, and talc. Pre-compression studies showed good flow and compressibility of the blend. The prepared tablets were evaluated for hardness, friability, weight variation, thickness, and disintegration time, and all parameters were found within acceptable limits. Stability studies indicated no significant changes in the formulation. The polyherbal combination provides a synergistic effect targeting multiple factors of PCOS. The study concludes that the developed formulation shows promising potential for further evaluation in PCOS management.
