  • Abstract:
  • In today's digital era, cybersecurity has emerged as an essential component of safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring business continuity. Although there is a lot of focus on the high-tech attacks, a lot of the high-stakes attacks have a small component that doesn't get the attention. Cybercriminals work through simple security holes like weak passwords, obsolete systems and manual mistakes to spark large-scale attacks. This paper explores the potential scope of harm from a lack of basic cybersecurity measures, from financial losses to reputational damage. This paper highlights the importance of a proactive approach for protecting digital infrastructures by discussing the role of human behavior in cybersecurity incidents and exploring real-world incidents.
