  • Abstract:
  • Waste management is a critical issue in urban environments due to increasing population and improper segregation practices. This project proposes an IoT Enabled Raspberry Pi Based Three-Dimensional Waste Segregation System for automated classification of waste into wet, dry, and hazardous categories. The system utilizes moisture, inductive proximity, IR, and ultrasonic sensors to detect waste characteristics. A Raspberry Pi 4 Model B processes sensor inputs and controls servo motors for appropriate waste sorting. IoT integration using Wi-Fi and MQTT protocol enables real-time monitoring of bin fill levels through cloud platforms such as ThingSpeak. The proposed system enhances efficiency, reduces human intervention, and promotes hygienic and sustainable waste management solutions.
