  • Abstract:
  • Cybersecurity has become an important concern due to the rapid increase in internet usage and digital communication. Network systems are vulnerable to various cyberattacks such as flooding, denial-of-service attacks, and unauthorized access. This project presents a Cyberattack Prevention and Detection System developed using Python, Flask, Scapy, HTML, and CSS. The system monitors live network traffic, detects suspicious ICMP flood attacks, and simulates prevention by blocking malicious IP addresses. The project uses packet sniffing techniques to monitor localhost network traffic and identify abnormal packet transmission. A web-based cybersecurity dashboard is developed to display monitoring logs, attack alerts, and blocked IP information. The system successfully demonstrates packet monitoring, intrusion detection, and basic prevention mechanisms through a modern web interface. This project provides a simple and educational cybersecurity prototype suitable for beginner-level understanding of network security concepts.
