abstract = {Solar energy is one of the most important renewable energy sources used for electricity generation. Conventional
Fixed solar panels cannot utilize maximum sunlight throughout the day because the position of the sun continuously changes. To overcome this limitation,a Sun tracking Solar Panel system was designed and implemented .The system automatically tracks the movement of the sun and adjust the solar panel positon for maximum sunlight absorption.
The proposed system uses Light Dependent Resistors(LDRs),Arduino UNO microcontroller ,servo/DC motor, and a motor driver circuit for automatic tracking. The LDR sensors detect sunlight intensity from different directions ,and the Arduino controls the motor movement according to sensor output .The motor rotates the panels towards the direction of maximum sunlight.
Experimental results showed that the tracking system generated higher electrical output compared to fixed solar panels. The average output voltage of the fixed panel was 8.62 while the tracking system generated approximately 10.02 V.Achieving nearly 15-20% higher efficiency. The system proved to be effective reliable ,low-cost ,and suitable for renewable energy application.},
