        abstract = {A Hospital Management System (HMS) refers to software that aims at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of health care services provided by hospitals. In this research paper, the development of a computer-based Hospital Management System has been discussed. The system automates various operations of hospitals including patient registration, appointment scheduling, doctor management, billing, pharmacy, laboratory reports, and medical records.The development of HMS takes advantage of recent advancements in database and web technologies to ensure reliability and scalability as well as user interface with respect to administrators, doctors, staff members, and patients. The system also improves communication among different departments and facilitates decision-making process through data management. The research findings reveal that the adoption of Hospital Management System is effective in increasing efficiency, saving time, cutting down expenses, and improving customer satisfaction. Such a system could be improved in the future through integration of technologies like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and mobile technology.},
